Barclays' in Nelson

 key_bbank.JPG

Despite the best efforts of local councillors and parliamentarians, Barclays will be closing its Nelson branch on 16th December 2016. This means the closest Barclays branch will be in Ystrad Mynach where there are two other competing banks.

Has Barclays considered the likelihood that their customers may switch to other banks if forced to travel to Ystrad Mynach? We would like to ask Barclays how they plan to look after their loyal customers, particularly older and less mobile people, who rely on local high street banking services.

The Welsh Liberal Democrats are fed up of banks taking their customers for granted. Please add your voice and sign our petition asking:

Barclays to explain why they are closing yet another bank and to provide a statement on their plan for the provision of alternative banking and cashpoint services for their customers in Nelson and Treharris.
